At first, the inhabitants of Narith-orian were fascinated by the strange visitors, and many tried to communicate with them. But as the humans began their work, the inhabitants quickly realized that their intentions were far from benevolent.
The humans began machine began to cut down the vast forests and drain the rivers, The peoples of Narith-orian watched in horror as their capital city was destroyed, and many were killed in the process. The magical energies that once flowed freely through the planet began to dissipate, and the Orians found it harder and harder to use their powers.
Despite the opposition of many of the Narith-orian s, the humans continued their work. They built a sprawling complex and factory, and the planet began to die becoming devoid of magic and life. The once vibrant realm of eridean was now a barren wasteland, and the few survivors were forced to flee to more remote cities of the planet to avoid the humans' wrath.
In the years that followed, the humans continued to exploit Narith-orian s resources, leaving only devastation in their wake. But even as the area around the capital lay dying, a small group of power full mages refused to give up hope. They began to study the humans and their technology, hoping to find a way to turn the tide and reclaim their world.
They discovered a way to harness the last remaining magical energies of the planet and use them to create a massive magical explosion that destroyed the humans' terraformer . The blast was so powerful that it fractured the fabric of existence creating the creeping and dangerous zone of morbid life and malevolent machines
The planet was forever changed by the humans' arrival.
